<div class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"> Just a little about me....<br /><br />Raised in a small town in Mississippi in a musically talented family, I don't think many people originally expected too much out of a guy like me. My hometown of 25,000 people didn't have a lot to offer other than a Corp of Engineer's flood control lake that was built to control flooding in the Mississippi Delta. I learned to swim in a pool when I was VERY young but didn't comprehend how deep the lake was until my dad put me off the side of the boat one summer day and I couldn't touch bottom. I learned how to water ski that next summer and will never forget that day. My mom and dad used to say I was like a "machine" out there behind the boat & could ski forever. My parents would take my friends and I, along with my sisters out to the lake to ski and picnic. With a mom that couldn't swim... I always admired her "trusting" my dad with her life while on the water. I LOVED that lake and the SKI BUG bit me and lasted for years. The lake's still there.. but I don't think the younger kids of today use it like we did when I was growing up. I also actually got to spend a lot of time with a family of professional water skiers on a private lake named "Plum Nelly" that has a slalom course, trick course, adjustable ski jump and was man made for water skiing. The owners were leaders in the AWSA ( American Water Ski Association) which included executive positions on the board, tournament certified drivers, timers etc. It was a very fun and unique experience that I'll never forget.<br /><br />The only boy in my family... the middle child with two beautiful sisters, both incredibly accomplished musicians. The son of the hardest working mom and dad I've ever known. Things like "perfect pitch", "natural rhythm", "happy fingers, foot patting and dancing shoes" were all too common to me. Whether it was a trumpet, cornet, saxophone, guitar etc, I learned how to read music and picked up each of those instruments and learned to play them all in high school. I loved them all and still appreciate the incredible mood that any instrument can create depending upon a musician's ability to "let the music out." I'm also a big lyrics guy. Last time I checked, I had written close to 100 lyric scores that dig into some of my experiential learning that was painfully rich at times. <br /><br />I've been incredibly blessed throughout my life in the roles I've played so far including- son, brother, husband, father, friend, musician, songwriter, audio engineer, salesman, sales leader, change agent, executive leader and global business traveler. It didn't all come easy and there were casualties along the way.. but I'm a better man for it. One of the biggest blessings I've experienced besides my children has to be my wife that I met on eHarmony.com. There are still many songs to be written about this... just more things I've added to my own personal bucket list. <br /><br />Throughout my life, I've increasingly become known as someone who loves the challenge of "fixing" things that are broken... no matter what that might be. I've built and remodeled houses, and am currently in my 26th home. I enjoy having a project or two going at any given time. Right now, I'm finishing a classic jet boat rebuild with an OLDS 455 in it that I learned to barefoot ski behind back in mid 1970's. Behind that will be a 1949 Willys Jeep truck to restore as well. Last, but certainly not least, a fun project for me is keeping our motorcoach ready to travel in these days. With three grandkids these days.... we need to be on the road more often to go see them.<br /><br /><br /><br /></div>
