BEDFORD — In this age of ubiquitous antibacterial soap, tissues and cotton swabs, one Bedford company has chosen to play its hand with an antimicrobial glove. Later this month, worldwide glove distributor Omni International will launch its fi rst shipment of a vinyl food-service glove with built-in antimicrobial technology proven to kill harmful fungi and bacteria such as E. coli and Salmonella. “We’re in areas where the industry has never gone before,” said Ken Mosher, president of Omni International. “To the best of my knowledge, this is the first anti-microbial glove that has been put into commerce.”
